Around the holidays we tend to bake more than usual, or
at least I do. Right before Thanksgiving I usually stock up on the essentials
like sugar, flour, vanilla and of course brown sugar. One of my favorite brands
is Domino, and that’s what I’m using today in my blondies. The great thing
about blondies is that you can make then for any holiday, just change out the M&M
colors and poof it’s a different season. Today they are Christmas Blondies and
I love them as they are so easy to make and always a crown favorite.
Ingredients:
2/3 cup Butter
2 cup Domino BrownSugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Baking
Powder
1/4 tsp Baking
Soda
2 cup Flour
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Chocolate
Chips
2 cups M&M's
Directions
Preheat oven to 350
Heat butter and brown sugar
over medium heat while stirring until smooth. Let cool 5 minutes.
While the butter and brown sugar is cooling, I line a Line
a 8x8 pan or larger pan if you want thinner bars with parchment paper
In a separate bowl, combine
flour, salt, baking soda & baking powder and set aside I sift mine to get
any lumps out of the flour. I do this while during the 5 mins as well.
Once the 5 minutes is up, add one egg at a time stirring
until mixed. Add in the vanilla.
Combine the flour mixture and mix until smooth. Add the
chocolate chips and half the M&M’s and fold in the mlixutre.
Transfer into the pan and spread evenly. Top with remaining
M&M’s
Bake for 25-30 mins (until you can put a toothpick in,
and it comes out clean) allow to rest before taking out of pan and cutting
Enjoy!
Domino Sugar is
one of those staples that I keep on hand at all times. They have all the
options from light brown sugar, dark to the regular cane sugar as well. You can
buy at pretty much any grocery store near you. If you are looking for any recipe
tips you can check out their site for ideas.
