Gifts for the whole family

Do you have a bunch of people to buy for yet? I may be able to help you. I have some great ideas for you from wine savers to cooking with your kids, to even a shirt that blocks sweat. Check out the awesome options below.

If I don’t cook for a few days my family wonders what’s wrong and they start to freak out. My Youngest daughter Fallon loves to cook and bake with me and it’s so much fun. When she was 5 she had to draw what she wanted to be when she grew up and she drew the apron from Master chef and said she wanted to be a cook like mama (insert me going “aww”) she sees me cook and bake for the blog all the time. I mean who’s heart just wouldn’t melt when a little one says that? So when So when a company like Eat2Explore was presented to me, I was so excited. This was made for kids like Fallon.

The process is super easy. Each box has 3 recipe cards. Each recipe makes enough to serve 4 people.

The box will also have some of the ingredients you will need like specific spices, sauces and such. You will need to shop for other ingredients on the list as this is a shelf stable box. What you need will always depend on what box you have and what the recipe calls for. Shop on your time. You have 3 recipes; you don’t have to do the shopping for all 3 at the same time.

You will also get a passport to write down what dish you made and then how you rate it.

For the month of December it’s World holiday Treats and they sent out a box where we can make Japanese Mochi, Cratian Medenjaci, and Autrain Linzer Cookies. Besides making them there are sheets where we learn a little something about each country. So the kids can cook and learn at the same time.

If you want to buy just one box you can, otherwise you can do a subscription and get a new box each month. It’s a great way to do something new with the kiddos. I highly recommend Eat2explore.

Do you have a friend or a family member that is always having a dinner party? Finding a place setting can be hard and then you have to wash them, and I’ll be honest we get busy and nobody has time. Lucy Grymes has come up with great designs for place setting and they are made from papers. So, after the party, you just throw them away. No need to launder them or anything. I think it’s a brilliant I idea that I wish I would have come across sooner.

If you want to take your decorating style up a notch or two, you can also get their vase wraps. I think they take a regular vase and create something really cool. Plus it’s a talking piece too, a real focal point.

Price wise, these are a little higher, but you are getting great quality, so I don’t mind paying a little more. You get 24 placemats per pad for $22. They come in a lot of different designs and even a reindeer option which is perfect for Christmas.

Wine is Wine is always a great gift to give during the holidays and well any time of year really. The only problem is, what happens they don’t dink the whole bottle that night? We all know you can’t recork it. Savino has made a great product called a wine preserver. With award winning patented technology, it keeps wind fresh all week.

It’s super easy to use, you just take the top off, put in the wine and put the top back on and you are done. Nothing else to it. It really doesn’t get much simpler than that. Other features are:
  •        Pour your wine into Savino and it will keep your wine fresh for up to a week
  •        Automatically seals and unseals your wine so every glass is fresh and delicious
  •        Unique design is easy to hold, easy to use and is the perfect addition to any dining setting
  •        Made in the USA from flint glass
  •        Dishwasher safe
  •        Only 10.5 inches tall so it fits in most refrigerators

Any crafters on your list? This gift is really cool for the crafter. I remember when I was little, I used to cross stitch. I did a lot of them actually, there was something calming about it. You can sit and watch TV and craft, especially on a cold winter day in WI.

The Stitch People have created a book where you can create your family, pets and all and create a cross stitch of them How cute is that? They have all the patters for you. You can pick and choose which parts you want. They even have a mom babywearing!

They have different clothing options, and I’m not just talking about colors as anyone can just change the color of thread. I’m talking style. Then you have pets from dogs to cats and even a turtle, and a hedgehog.

They have all the letting as well of course if you want to add lettering, so you know how high you need to go.

The Stitch People have everything you need to know in one book. Plus examples along the way and in the back of the book of how others have done their families.

For under $60 this is a great gift that can be passed down for years to come. Take a look, you may be able to check someone off your list.

Dan is big on wearing an undershirt especially with a sweater. If you have someone on your shopping list that does as well, then you need to check out this company. Thompson Tee. It’s not just for men, they have shirts for women as well. The really cool thing about them, they are sweat proof! Yes, you heard me right sweat proof. They guarantee to stop underarm sweat if and when you need it.

There are different styles and even long sleeve options which I think is pretty cool. For men they have slim, original and fitted. You can also get them in a V-neck instead of just scooped.

Thompson Tee anti sweat shirts have built-in Hydro-Shield Sweat Proof technology to block underarm sweat and keep you dry and confident all day.

These shirts are amazing and I highly recommend that you take a look at them for the man or women in your life that loves undershirts. And for under $35 it’s a great price point.

There are lots of gifts here but something for everyone. Is there something that caught your eye? Please let me know.

  7. That Thompson Tee could be a total gamechanger around here. My husband insists on wearing a tee under other shirts and since we live in such a warm climate, having it be sweatproof would be awesome!
