Halloween Home Decor from Party City

Halloween is such a fun time of year. I don’t know about you but for us it is. You can be anything you want to be, and you can decorate your house scary just for fun. What’s not to love? This year I have partnered with one of my favorite party stores Party City and got to do a little shopping in their Spooktacular Halloween in-home decor section. Before I get ahead of myself, you don’t want to go inside, they do have free same day delivery, and curbside pickup, so keep that in mind.

We kind of had a theme in mind going into the store but we could have easily had our minds changed with so many options. Those tombstones were really calling my name to set up a cemetery as I do have a smoke machine here at home. How cool would that look in your yard with some skulls? Can you picture it? Even if I didn’t have a smoke machine at home, Party City has smoke machines for a very reasonable price, so there is that.

Anyway, here is what we picked out:

A pack of spiders (I’m petrified of spiders) everyone thought this was hilarious for our theme.

Spider webbing

A bat

Paper bat pack

3 Haunting Reapers

1 small haunting reaper

Even though I kind of had a theme in mind it was still hard to finalize as there were so many choices. I love how well Party City had everything laid out so well. It’s something I have always loved about the store. The ease of shopping makes it comforting for a customer. I sometimes feel when a holiday comes up some stores just put it in a corner, but Party City doesn’t, they have it right there front and center for us the customer so

It’s easy to get to.

Once we Got everything, we were ready to head out. The nice thing is, we got everything for $35. I thought it was a really good deal.

The kids couldn’t wait to get home and get decorating. Dan came up with a really good idea of having the reapers sitting around the kitchen table eating. With me being a cook/baker, we came up with them eating brains.  I cooked up some pasta and I figured since brains have blood, I had to dye them red. So, here we have red brains.

The scene couldn’t be complete without them drinking “blood” aka Gatorade.

We also have a very large spider web spanning a large portion of my kitchen wall with a few spiders in it and the bats of course. There are even a few bats caught in the spider web, a lucky day for the spiders.

As you can tell, we had a bit of fun with the kitchen and setting it up for Halloween. Not sure yet what we will do for the rest of the house, but I’m sure it will be something crazy. Are you ready yet? Have you thought of your scenes or costumes? I’d love to hear about them. Let me know below.
