Twin XL bedding

My oldest daughter has been using some of the same sheets for awhile and really wanted a new set. It was great timing when Twin XL contacted me to try out their bedding. Mya of course was super excited as well.

Twin XL is really made to fit the common dorm room size beds. I never really understood why dorm beds are longer. The difference between the two Twin sizes is the length, the Twin XL bed has dimensions of 39 x 80 inches. When buying bedding for a XL Twin bed make sure you get the right dimensions. The length of XL fitted sheets are 80 inches, and the length of XL comforters are 92 inches. Probably something that I will never learn the answer to.

In true Mya fashion, she picked out the zebra pattern. The sheet set came with the fitted sheet, flat sheet and a pillow case. I was worried that it would be a little too much zebra, but really looks good in person.

Since Mya doesn’t have a dorm size bed in her room all we did was tuck the end of the fitted sheet under her mattress and we were good to go. I asked her if it felt like it was bunched up or anything and she said no, it felt normal.

The quality of the material are great and I can tell it will hold up for a long time, which is a great thing for college age kids when they sometimes aren’t the most gentle.

Digital Decor Down like Microdenir gel-fiber pillows

I am always looking for great pillows, especially since we have a lot of bedrooms and often have guests. Plus I have a slight addiction to them and want them for myself. I was asked by Digital Decor to try their Down-like Microdenier Gel-fiber Sleeping Pillows. I of course said yes, no way I was turning that down even if I wasn’t really sure what down-like meant.

Digital Decor sent me 2 Queen pillows with pillow covers and I was really surprised at how fast I received them. As soon as I got them, they were in the pillow covers and cases and on my bed.

The pillows are super soft and comfortable. I have had some pillows and i put my head on them and either they are over stuffed or not even close to enough stuffing. These were just about perfect. I haven’t used them long enough to tell you how long the “fullness” lasts, but by the look of them, i’m guessing a lot longer than the ones you get at the big box stores. You may pay less for a pillow at the big box stores but you will have to buy them over and over again compared to these.

I have a little confession to make, I think I may have a little addiction to pillows. My friends know if they need to stay here overnight we have no shortage of pillows.
