Stride Rite: Providing quality shoes for almost 90 years!

Nurse Mommy

Have your kids ever worn shoes from Stride Rite? If not, they are missing out! Stride Rite is a name that has been there for years and they really know there stuff! My mother in law told me that she used to dress my husband Jim is Stride Rite brand THIRTY years ago! She said they were the best back then…and I know I really like them now! Man, when I walk into their store you have to pull me away with a wrench to get me to leave without SEVERAL pairs (okay, I admit it, I am a little shoe obsessed) Since she told me that my thirty year old hubby wore Stride Rite, I had to look online to see how long they have been making these fantastic shoes and it seems to be since 1919!! Do you realize that my GRANDMOTHER could have worn Stride Rite! That’s a crazy thought.

I was sent the Sperry Top-Sider Boys Capsize A/C and these are very cute and stylish shoes! The first pair I was sent was not wide width and lord knows, my little mans needs that since his feet are as fat as they are long! So, we sent them back and got the wide width which fit him perfectly! I have to say one thing I love about Stride Rite and all the brands they carry is the availability of wider sizes. They are sooo hard to find with toddlers. Another thing I love about these shoes is that many parts of it are made out of recycled materials which is really neat for the eco-conscious Moms. These shoes seems to be very comfortable for my little man and protect his little (or not so little) feet from all the bangs and bruises that active little boys manage to get while allowing them to breath with the mesh material. Another awesome quality about these shoes is that they can be very casual or dressy. I would not think twice of putting these on him with khakis to go to church or with jeans and a sweatshirt on a play date. That is very important to moms that do not want to spend a fortune on numerous pairs of shoes.

So, if you have not checked out the incredible shoes at Stride Rite, you really should. They are made to last and are made for comfort and in my opinion those are the two most important features in a shoe!

Disclaimer: I was sent a pair of Sperry Top Slider shoes for this review.
