Sensory Smart- Ark DnZ-Vibe Pencil Kit

I have been blessed with 2 amazing little boys.  They keep my life entertaining and bring me so much joy.  But we all have our challenges that life throws our way.  My oldest son was just recently diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome.  This comes after his initial diagnosis of Sensory Processing Disorder and ADHD.  I am still in the 'trying to figure things out' stage of this.  We are trying different things that work for him.  It's a lot of trial and error. We bought a tactile cushion for him to use to sit on at preschool. That worked for about a week, and then it was just more of a distraction than anything.

We have been using a weighted blanket for him to sleep with for almost a year now. That has been one thing that has helped him during nap time. But we have still been looking for something to give him the stimulation that he needs while he sits at a table or desk. Luckily Sensory Smarts sent me ARK's DnZ-Vibe tool.  I actually had never even laid eyes on one of these. So I was excited to see what it was all about.  Along with the DnZ-Vibe we received the Pen Pack and the Pencil Kit.

The DnZ-Vibe is pretty neat. You can insert either a pen or pencil tip and it will vibrate on the end but will not effect the handwriting. It provides stimulation to the hand while your child is writing. It also has a tip on the end that is good for chewing. My son LOVES to chew on it. You can also purchase chewy toppers for it. These are great for feeding therapy as well. Whenever we need my oldest to sit down and be still we break out the DnZ Vibe and let him hold it or chew on it. It seems to calm him a little so he can focus on what he is doing.  I am planning on buying some of the additional tips for him to chew on. He seemed to really like the vibrations.  I am so excited to have been lucky enough to review this product. I know it is something we can definitely use for my son.

  1. Weirdly enough the weighted blanket and WAY more weirdly... for myself not a child. :) I get really panicked and overwhelmed in crowds and any type of blanket/coat/whatever is very comforting :)
