Luna Star Naturals- tween makeup

Like most girls Mya is fascinated with makup. She always has been. When she was little I would put “pretties” on her face just to have fun. The only problem is that those “pretties” were my make made for adults and not little girls. Luna Star Naturals has created a line of makeup for girls that are skipping all the chemicals. I definitely wanted my daughter to try this.

Luna Star Naturals is made in the USA (huge plus). Also it sears off parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, and artificial colors. I don’t want unsafe chemicals on my daughter, so to me this is very important.

Since Mya is a little older we received the Klee Girls line that is intended for ages 8 to 14. Basically for those who will be wearing makeup a little more often than just dress up around the house.  Mya is young, I don’t expect her to want to wear eye shadow that is muted and skin tone. Her style is bright and fun. We call her our little Bohemian child. She loves skirts and dresses and socks that don’t match. The colors that Klee Girls have are perfect for her. They are bright without being over the top.

When we started applying the makeup, I explained that less is more but to still have fun.  We started out putting a little bit of shimmery blush on. The color we have is South Beach Dawn, and the shimmer (silver sparkles). We don’t put too much on that you can really see it; just enough to have a little effect.
For her eyes we did a base color of Lake Michigan Dip (super cute by the way) with the color Yellowstone Trail along the crease just halfway and to the outer corner of her eye. I topped it off with some mascara and a little liner to accent the colors and bring them out some.

The brush that Luna Star sent with the kit is really nice for shadows. From experience, a good brush goes a long way.

For those who have girls that are younger than 8, Luna Star also makes a kids line for 3 and up that is great for playing dress up. Check them out today.
