Nutrisystem week 2

Well, I am just finishing week 2 of Nutrisystem. I think it went really well. I’m a little upset at myself for not getting to the pool for the aqua therapy. It basically comes down to time and pain levels to even just do that. I will be trying really hard to get there this week though. I know it will help me a lot with the weight loss. 

Last week I talked about what my routine would be. I have to admit that eating all that isn’t as easy as one may think. I can’t drink and eat at the same time. I have to wait 30 minutes after eating so it was difficult to get all my fluids in, but I got into a good routine and figured it out. It still feels like I’m eating all day long. Reality is, I almost am. Here is a refresher of what my intake is.

Breakfast: NS breakfast with a power fuel like milk, cheese or 1 egg… 
Snack: power fuel
Lunch: NS lunch with a smart carb like fruit
Snack: power fuel and smart carb
Dinner: NS dinner
Dessert: NS dessert

In between or with meals I can have non starchy veggies. Now you can probably see why I feel like I’m eating all the time.

One of the most frequent questions I get asked is “does the food taste good?” I have always answered honestly. Some is really good, some are ok, and some I don’t like. I don’t think there is a program out there that 100% of the food a person is going to love. Likes are based on the person’s taste buds. I find that most of the breakfasts are good. The one I wish I had more of are the French toast and the waffles. Since I need a protein with my breakfasts, I put 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on them, and they are good to go. If you don’t already know that I’m a huge peanut butter fan, you can see it by what I eat. My favorite snack has become a medium apple with 1 tablespoon peanut butter.

I feel that I have done really well this week. I’m sure you are wondering how much I have lost this week. To answer that… I lost 2 pounds, which brings my total loss to 6 pounds. I am very happy with that number. Would I love for the 13 pounds come off in 10 days like when I put it on? Yes, of course I would but I know it’s not that easy.

My goal for this next week is to keep eating right, making sure I get my fluids in and most of all try and get into the pool as often as possible.
