Gillette new Venus Swirl razor for Women #NewVenusSwirl

Ok ladies, today is technically the first day of spring. That means that winter is gone, and we need to shave our legs more often (I know I’m not the only one). A great way to start of the new season is with a new razor. I was recently asked to look at Gillette’s newest razor, the Venus Swirl. I really like the the Venus line so I wanted to give this new one a try.

I think it’s great that Gillette is taking cues from men’s razors and making them for women. I know I can’t be the only one who has been caught using my husbands razor. I really like how it moves and now I have one. The new Venus Swirl has 5 contour blades. These blades are the thinnest that Gillette has ever made. This way they cut hair at a lower force and the blades can individually adjust to a womans curves.

I don’t know about you, but my hard to reach area is my ankles. This is mainly because of my joint issues in my hips. In the past i have just hoped i got everything and did a quick reach and usually end up cutting myself. I tried it with the new Swirl, and not only did I not cut myself (yay!), but I also was able to get more of the hair than normal (double yay!).

I have learned from experience that you will get the best shave if you use shave gel and not body wash or soap. I was also given Olay VioletSwirl shave gel, and I have to say that yes it really does have 5x more moisturizers. I tend to run out of my shave gel before my husband, so I will use his until I can get to the store again. I can really tell the difference between his and Olay’s new gel. Olay’s is so much nicer and my legs feel so much softer afterwards.
