we like to do BBQ
ReplyDeleteIce cold watermelon
ReplyDeleteIt's actually been kind of a difficult day for us in as my mother-in-law died on her way to our planned barbecue at my sister-in-law's. Since then we have changed to a quieter more reflective way of "celebrating" taking a picnic to the beach/Lake and watching the sunset and the fireworks far off in the distance.
ReplyDeleteThis year, however we will be attending a neighborhood potluck BBQ and then all of us will head over to one neighbor's mother's Condo on the Lake right near the fireworks and watch from her roof! Sounds like fun ~ and I think we're ready for that again. Thanks ~ and Happiest Independence Day to you & yours.

My favorite thing to do is relax and watch fireworks on TV. I spent so many years going to fireworks shows and dealing with the parking, the crowds, trying to get out of there again that, at this point in my life, I'd rather watch at home.
ReplyDeleteI love cookouts and fireworks!!
ReplyDeletetaking the boat up to the pier to watch the fireworks show
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to do on the 4th of July is to have a barbecue to celebrate with my friends and family.
ReplyDeleteI like to watch the PBS specials (I've turned into my parents!) - the musical performances and the fireworks.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are always with their mom for a big BBQ, so I did some yard work and watched some Women's World Cup Soccer.
