Skylanders Superchargers, interactive game for everyone

My little buddy (best friend’s son) was more than happy to help me out a couple weeks ago and play Skylanders Superchargers on the Wii U. He was even more happy when he was the first of his friends to play it since it just came out when we received it.

Myself and Canon and his dad have played other Skylanders games together so it was a good comparison. This time him and his dad played. They said that the colors and graphics were so much more vibrant that the last ones. They loved this as it was really fun to watch.

The interaction seems more in depth on Superchargers which is really great for kids, and well everyone. There are some guest voices with the players as well so keep your ears open and see if you can hear who there are. I will give one away. One of the voices is Josh Duhamel!

Canon really liked how you can add the cars and play with instead of just the regular players like before. I asked him what his favorite character was and he actually said Donkey Kong (amiibo). If found it funny as I remember playing Donkey Kong as a kid with my brothers and he was my favorite character as well. He really is a character that will stand the test of time. Before I forget, you can use Donkey Kong in Super Mario 8 as well if you have it, so major plus there.

Even though Superchargers is a game that takes time to master, it is an easy game to understand. This is really important to me, as kids get really discouraged if they don’t understand a game that they really want to play. So, I give them props at making it hard and yet easy to grasp at the same time.

There are a few new race tracks that are fun to play on and all at different levels so no matter what skill level you are at when you start, you will still have fun!! The part of the tracks that Canon and Dan liked most was that if you mess up, the game pad vibrates. I was watching on facetime while they were playing (yes, I know we are weird, but I wasn’t close enough to be there in person) and saw/heard it vibrate. It’s pretty cool.

The new line of characters makes it really exciting to start collecting more. As most players of Skylanders know they come out all the time, so keep your eyes out for the latest figures.
