Much like most families we have gaming systems in our house. Another thing is we have kids of all different ages. I have a 7 year old, an almost 17 year old and Dan has an 11 year old. Finding video games that they can all play isn’t always an easy thing to do. A lot of the time you find games that one wants, but the other finds, is too childish, or the other wants and I’m like nope the other two can’t play. It’s a balancing act that us parents have a hard time finding at times. I did come across two games recently that I wanted to share with you. Crash TeamRacing Nitro Fueled and Spyro were both sent to me and are definitely in the category of everyone in the family can play.

I know how much kids love their video games. We have a PlayStation 4 and I hear about what game is best all the time in my house. One game I wanted to share is Citadel: Forged with Fire. Starlink is a video game for Everyone

As you guys know, we love a good video game around here. Finding good games that are kid friendly and not just for the adults can sometimes be hard. Recently we were sent Starlink for the Playstation 4, and some accessories from Best Buy. Dan’s son took one look and was super excited. He has seen the game and has been wanting to play it.

I’ll be honest, gaming is not my thing. I do like some games, I’m just not good at them. However, I do have a few people in my life that love video games, so I enlist their help when I need it. Being that it’s Christmas time, video games are great ideas. I wanted to share with you two options that may work for you; Destiny 2:Forsaken and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

I have two girls, so we don’t do a lot of Minecraft, but my best friend’s son LOVES it. So, I have watched hours of youtube videos and watched him play with him teaching me as well. It’s a world unlike any other. If you are looking for Minecraft products Best Buy is the place to go.

If you aren’t sure exactly what Minecraft is here it is in a nutshell. Minecraft is a game about placing blocks and going on adventures. Explore randomly generated worlds and build amazing things from the simplest of homes to the grandest of castles.

It’s one of those games, where it’s very family friendly. You don’t have to worry about the content that your kids are seeing or building. When they are in the creative mode, you pretty much have unlimited resources or mine deep in the survival mode. You can craft weapons and armor to fend off any “dangerous mobs”. You can also do this by yourself, or with friends.

I would def head over to Best Buy for any last-minute shopping and check out all their Minecraft products. They even have collectibles. You can buy Xbox One bundles, along with toys, more games etc.

Since it’s good for almost all ages and boys and girls, it’s a win win for everyone involved.

Typically, I don’t play a lot of first person video games. When I do, it’s usually with friends. When I was asked about Destiny the Collection, I wasn’t really sure about it. I’m glad I did, as this game collection is amazing.

Skylanders Superchargers, interactive game for everyone

My little buddy (best friend’s son) was more than happy to help me out a couple weeks ago and play Skylanders Superchargers on the Wii U. He was even more happy when he was the first of his friends to play it since it just came out when we received it.

Skylanders Trap Team has been a HUGE hit for our Son!

 Over the past year or so we have heard more and more about Skylanders. It seemed all of my friends kids were really getting into the characters and even the parents were enjoying the game. Honestly, I WANTED my son to get into it because I knew it would make Christmas and birthday shopping so much easier for us if we had something to buy him! He is out of the stage of liking too many toys, and he had a few set video games he played. I know it seems crazy, but this Mom WANTED something to be able to buy him.

One of the unique and rather impressive features with the Skylanders video game line is the different accessories you can purchase from the main fighting  characters to the various keys used to capture the villains.  Just place a Skylander on the arena / portal and the game recognizes your character but be careful, if your character dies, he is required to rest and you must replace with an alternate. If you have used all of your Skylanders, the game is over and you will have to start again at your last auto save point.  Skylanders offers a shooter type game without the blood and gore – in a “comic mischief” type of way. My son has fallen in love with this game. Even my husband enjoys the game and has a blast looking at the various products available for purchase at the store and online. Due to the multitude of Skylanders available, there will be no problems fulfilling birthday and Christmas lists!  You can only guess what his Easter basket consists of this year? Because actual figurines are required for the game, children can even play with the characters “offline” as we used to before video games. I can tell you, my son has already purchased about 5 new traps and a couple trap masters for the game. I can see where it could get very expensive, but again, if you are like me  and have a child that can be hard to buy for, this might be a good thing for you!

I remember as a kid I used to play Donkey Kong with my brothers and it was so much fun. My oldest who is 11 loves playing video games so when I had the chance to do a review for Skylander Trap Team, I couldn’t turn it down.
