  2. We've had our current vacuum for about 3 years and it seems to be working pretty well, though it's really heavy. With two long haired dogs -it gets a weekly workout.

  5. Our current Vacuum has lasted about 2 years though the last 4 month have been rough with having to go over some areas 2 or 3 times before they're clean and I don't even have "small" children.

  16. Well my last vacuum was a used one from a friend that only lasted about 2 or 3 months before it started filling the room up with the smell of burning rubber every time I turned it on.

  29. I have had my dyson for about 9-10 year but it's starting to die. It's been dying for about 4 years but I just can't afford to buy another vacuum... I have been looking at the shark vacs and I really like this one. The dyson has lasted a while but like I said, we basically have been using it half broken for the last 4-5 years. ty for the chance at the vacuum I really want!

  30. My last vacuum cleaner actually lasted a couple of years, but the thing drove me crazy because every time I used it the cord that was hard as a rock would almost trip me. I hated that thing!

  32. I love that this only weighs nine pounds! I have early on set arthritis and dragging the vacuum up and down the stairs can be painful, but nine pounds I can handle!

  51. Id say about 5 years old or more for the last one we had. It was still running when I retired it, the ruber around the edge molly had tore off and it wouldnt pick up right after that lol. She cant stand it when I sweep and has to ride the sweeper giving it a attitude adjustment.

  53. Sheila M. My previous vacuum worked well for four years and then the only the hose would work. I bought a new vacuum about six months ago, but hate it. It is cumbersome and difficult to switch between floor and hose. I would love to try a new vacuum.

  56. I was actually using my mom's. I do know that it's so much better in the long run to do your homework when buying one; that's why these blog reviews really help. Suction amps is so important.

  61. This one has been going for about 15 years. It doesn't have a way to do hard flooring and is heavy and unwieldy though.

  73. I had a old hoover that lasted years and years. My current one is only ten years old but I have had it fixed multiple times. I really need a new one because I vacuum everyday (we have three dogs and two cats.)

  75. My last vac lasted for about 12 year...was a wedding gift. The one we have now is about 10 years and on it's last sucker and wheels! I've replaced most parts on it! It's an OK vac but is SO heavy!
