Over the past few years I have grown to love essential oils more and more. I love working with all companies, seeing how they do things and of course their oils. Buckley & Phillips is a new company for me. They are based out of Australia. They are new to me, but are not new to oils. They have been in the business since 1972.
Buckley & Phillips are one of Australia's most reputable suppliers of essential oils, with our Gumleaf Essentials range. They are 100% pure and natural and of course therapeutic-grade! One of the biggest thing to look at is how they are made and what is all in them. You pretty much want JUST that oil unless it’s a blend, then of course other oils.
- Lavender-French
- Peppermint-Australian
- Lemongrass
- Frankincense
- Patchouli
- Orange-Sweet Valencia
- Rose
- Lemon
- Bergamot
- Ylang-Ylang
You can use oils alone (with carriers) or you can blend them with other oils. I noticed on the bottles Buckley & Phillips not only tells you ways to use the oil but also tells you what other oils it. For example Ylang Ylang blend well with Rose, Lavender, and Rosewood. You can also use it in a diffuser, bath or on the body with a carrier oil (coconut oil, Jojoba, even baby oil can be used).
When it comes to my top favorite oils they are:
Lavender
Lemon
Frankincense
Those four have so many uses that it’s crazy. Lemon not only smells amazing but it can also be used for cleaning when added to some water and vinegar. When I clean with that, my house smells so good! Whenever I get lemon from a new company I have to smell it right away. I can tell right away if it’s going to be good or not, based on the scent. After you smell a few different ones you will know what I mean. Just so you know, Buckley & Phillips Lemon smells amazing.
Lavender has a calming affect. I add lavender to my daughter’s diffuser every night for when she sleeps. We also rub some on the bottom of her feet at bedtime as well.

Frankincense is one of those oils that seems to have a million uses. From cuts, digestive, arthritis, to colds and so many more. The benefits are endless, that’s why it’s in my my must have list.
Buckley & Phillips has about 60 oils and then 18 different already mixed blends. There is something for everyone. One of the other big things about this company that I love. It’s their prices. I hear so often from you my readers, and my family/friends that they want to get into oils but they are too expensive so they can’t buy them. Here they aren’t, they are affordable. Some oils are even $9.99 for their 10ml bottles. $10!!! That’s a great deal. I highly recommend that you go and check them out! Remember that they ship from Australia so they may take a little longer to arrive but it’s worth the wait.

A blend I like to spray around my house is distilled water, Lavender and Orange or Eucalyptus and Orange. Spray it or diffuse it around your house and you will love!
So far from what I've seen from what they sent me, they are great quality and perfect for my needs. Bergamot was a new oil for me so that was really great. I have heard it can help with anxiety so i’m excited to see how that will help. I don’t have a huge issue with it but we all have it once in awhile.

Since I'm allergic to all antibiotics, these oils that I have never seen, seem to be my only hope. I would love to try all except eucalyptus and cinnamon since I'm highly allergic to both of them as well.
ReplyDeleteI know for myself I have used peppermint oil and lavender and tea tree oil together to help me fight off a cold this winter,

Would love to try out essential oils from Australia as their climate is much different than a lot of places that grow plants for essential oils. Wondering if there is notable differences.
ReplyDeleteAll of these oils are some of my favorites. I use peppermint for cleaning, it makes my kitchen and bathrooms smell wonderful. Lavender makes the best bedtime spray, I mist my pillows 10-20 minutes before I go to sleep and it is heavenly by the time I lay my head down.
ReplyDeleteI have never used essential oils but my mom swears by them. Are they expensive?
ReplyDeleteI do love a blend of rose and Patchouli. Rose is lovely (nothing at all like the cheap, "fragrance oils", but smells of the real flower). Patchouli is my favorite, it is very grounding for me, and calms me better than even lavender or chamomile. Put the 2 together, it's a winning combination!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try the lavender-french blend. It helps me relax and calm down.
