Mrs. Johnson was my drill team coach in high school and was my biggest inspiration and mentor in my life. She really helped to bring me out of my shell.
My oldest son was/is a mentor and inspiration to my younger son. He has been their to support him in many ways, teach him how to play sports and spend time with him.
My high school band director, Mr. M-----. I could write on and on about how absolutely incredible he was as a musician, teacher, mentor, friend, and human being. He went above and beyond; and was so full of life, energy, and a passion for music that was both contagious and inspiring.
My computer programming teacher in college was the first and only teacher to ever pull me aside and tell me he expected more of me. While I was annoyed initially, I look back on that and feel like he inspired me to put forth more effort.
My favorite teacher ever was my English teacher I had in jr high and then again as a high school senior. She gave me confidence in public speaking and writing. She did a lot for my self esteem.
My 8th grade teacher really left an impact by inspiring me to reach for the stars. He was a super caring teacher that loved teaching and loved by his students.
My favorite teacher was in 6th grade, a monk. His name was Brother Michael. He was so inspirational and made learning fun, even though he was very strict. deannankeller@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteI was in an open classroom for fourth and fifth grade, with the same teacher. She was compassionate and taught me creativity and to believe in myself!
