Otis Spunkmeyer Back to School Treats

I know when most people think of Otis Spunkmyer they think of cookies. Well yes, they have amazing cookies, but they have even more than that. Now they have a new line of over 20 kinds of snack cakes, cupcakes, muffins and more. They are a great treat to throw in your kid’s lunch box or buy a few boxes for snack time at your kids school.

I try to limit my kid’s sugar intake. Once in a while they want a good treat, and with Otis you can let them have it. Otis Spunkmeyer has what they call a “no funky stuff” guarantee. I really love that term, but what does that mean? It means that they are made without artificial flavors or colors, high-fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oils.

They still of course have the fund raisers, but now you can find even more products at the grocery store and even convenience stores. After the hard job (ok, not really that hard, it was really fun) of trying a large variety of sweets, I can share which ones I liked the best.

Just some of their products include:
  • Cinnamon Crumb Loaf Cake
  • Iced Lemon Loaf Cake
  • Mini Chocolate Cupcakes
  • Blueberry Mini Muffins
  • Chocolate Chunk Cookies
  • Oatmeal Raisin cookie

I seriously had to fight my husband off to not eat all the cookies. I had to promise him he could have a few after I took some pictures. You better believe he made sure I kept my promise. My home health nurse noticed I had some treats and even wanted in on some. Since I really like her (my health is in her hands), I filled up a lunch box and let her take it home. Some may call that bribing, but I call it being nice (ok a little bribe). Not long after she left my house I received a text that said “the chocolate chunk cookies were my favorite, and the Iced Lemon were really good.”

Besides chocolate and cinnamon being my favorite, I’m a sucker for a blueberry muffin. I like to slice it in half, put a little bit of butter on and then heat it up in the microwave for a few seconds. Great, now I’m hungry again, and I just had a cupcake.

These are just a few of their new line, I would seriously check out what your local store has to offer the next time you are there. If the Cinnamon Crumb cakes are there, I would buy 2 boxes just to be safe (you will thank me later).
