Britax Raises the Bar During Baby Safety Month

Did you know that September is Child Passenger Safety Month? I know that there is a month for everything, but this one is really important, as it has to do with our children. Britax is one of those companies that is always evolving to make sure our kids are as safe as possible. There are so many car seats out there and it’s hard to know which one is right. I get asked all the time on which ones I recommend. While I of course have my favorites, it really depends on what your needs are and your vehicle.

According to Britex “Our number one priority is to save children’s lives. We design, build and test our products beyond federal safety standards to ensure the passengers riding in our car seats are the safest they can possibly be during a collision,” said Ron Marsilio, ‎vice president of research and development at Britax. “Back in 2003, we were the first U.S. car seat manufacturer to improve rear-facing safety through the use of anti-rebound technology, and adding the Anti-Rebound Bar to select ClickTight convertible car seats will help provide parents what they need to protect their children from harm on the road.”

Through its own findings that infants and toddlers are five times safer riding rear-facing until they are at least two years old, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advised parents in 2011 to keep their toddlers rear-facing until the age of two, or until they reach the maximum height and weight for their seat. Since then, more and more U.S. states are mandating children stay rear-facing longer, and the ARB’s inclusion on select Britax ClickTight convertible car seats will help reduce the risk of injury for those passengers.
In addition to the ARB’s benefits, all Britax car seats exclusively feature SafeCell Impact
Protection, a system of patented features that work together to lower your child’s center of gravity and minimize head excursion, which is the number one cause of death to passengers in a crash. The impact-absorbing base, stabilizing steel frame and five-point harness work together on the Britax ClickTight convertibles with the ARB to reduce the risk of injury and fatality.

The two newest seats in the Britax line are the Boulevard ClickTight and the Advocate ClickTight. These seats are made for both forward facing and rear facing children (depending on age and size of course like mentioned above).

  • The ClickTight Installation System gives you a safe and easy installation every time so you can be certain your loved one is safe.
  • Safeguards your child with an extra layer of side impact protection, impact-absorbing base and steel frame.
  • Rest assured your child’s harness is within range of proper tightness thanks to our Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator.
  • Wraps your child in comfort with premium padding and fabrics Includes car seat and removable pillow.

I recommend checking both of these models out to see which one is best for you and your needs. You really can’t go wrong with either one of these seats. You can find them at BuyBuy Baby, Target, Amazon, Babies R Us and so many more ranging in price from $379 and $409.
