D-Link AC1900 EXO Wi-Fi Router

Since we moved a year ago I have been without a good router. I have only been using what our internet provider gave me. I was recently sent D-Link’s new AC1900 EXO Wi-Fi Router. In other words, a really high power router, exactly what I needed.

This thing looks like a mini spaceship, but doesn’t take up a lot of space. I have it sitting on the shelf with the modem and other computer equipment. If you are worried that you can’t hook up something like this, don’t be. It’s super easy and D-Link walks you through it step by step. It does require password information, but that is on a sticker that comes with it, and is on the bottom of the unit (so you can’t lose it).
Functionality Advanced Features:
• Guest Zone
• Multi-language web setup wizard
• Green Ethernet
• DLNA media server support
• Advanced AC SmartBeam
• Dual active firewall
• Network Address Translation (NAT)
• Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI)
• VPN Passthrough (PPTP/L2TP/IPsec)
• Advanced QoS
• Quick VPN - L2TP over IPsec
• Extender Mode7

This also means that if you like to do all that HD streaming, gaming and from anywhere in the house.

As a parent of a teenager, internet safety is a big concern of mine. You can create parent controls with this. It allows you to block or allow access to certain websites and/or devices. You can even enable a public or encrypted guest network. I love both these features as it allows you to protect your home internet and protects your kids as well.

Once I set the router up, I did notice a difference, especially in the back bedroom (of course It’s the master bedroom). We don’t have a big house right now, but I could still see the weak strength, and with the new one a much stronger connection.

For around $150, this D-Link router is amazing and I really recommend if you are looking for something stronger/better than what you currently have. You can buy it from Walmart, Best Buy, and more.

  3. This would be just the best new router for us to replace our antiquated one.

  4. I've been paying my provider every month for one that isn't really all that great. I have been wondering if things would be faster if I had a better one.
