Give the Gift of a Nesco Vacuum Sealer

I’m sure we all have bought something that we freeze and worry about freezer burn. I also hate freezing large portions of meat knowing I won’t use it all at one time. This is why I needed a vacuum sealer. I went looking for one, and found Nesco’s and love it.

Food comes in different sizes, so you need to be able to have whatever size you want. Nesco lets you do that. You have a roll and you cut the size you want. This way you don’t waste space.
You can do it any way you want really for sizing. What I do, is unroll and seal one end. Then I figure out how big I need, then cut. Fill the bag with food, then vac & seal. It’s really that easy.

Features:
  • 130 watts/120 volts
  • Sealing choices - Dry, moist and double
  • Double vacuum pump
  • Double line seals for added strength
  • Hands free sealing with locked handle
  • Manual seal feature
  • Tab guides for better bag material positioning and sealing
  • Clear viewing window in lid
  • And more!

The unit comes with:
  • One roll of 8.7” x 9.85' bag material
  • One roll of 11" x 9.85' bag material

Accommodates up to an 11.8” wide bag or roll
Each step is super easy to follow and do. Nesco really did take the design of this very seriously, and didn’t miss anything. They even have a spot to store the cord. You can also keep one roll of bags inside the machine when it’s not in use. If you have something that is more delicate, then you can press the Pulse button then the manual seal when it’s done. I did make sure there weren’t a lot of juices or they pushed right up to the top of the bag.

Other than that, I didn’t have any problem during the process. I did learn to allow a few inches above the product. This allows enough room to be sealed and not hurt the product.
As you can see, I have vacuumed sealed both meat and fresh fruit. For the fruit, I cut up what I wanted for each smoothie and placed it inside bags. That way all I have to do is cut the bag, dump in the blender with the other ingredients. For the meat, I just portioned what I wanted in each bag. Once you get a rhythm, it doesn’t take long at all.

This is a great gift for anyone who loves cooking and buys products in bulk. You can also buy the extra bags right from Nesco’s site.
