Musselman’s Squeezables Sours are a great snack for everyone

I’m a mother of two girls. One is 13 and the other is 4, so their needs are very different. Seeing as one is a teenager, we are very busy and on the go a lot. I have made it no secret that I love whoever came up with the pouch idea for foods. It’s genius, I mean less messes, takes up less room, and the little ones don’t need help. So, yea genius! Applesauce is a favorite snack for Fallon. Applesauce can get messy, but thanks to pouches they aren’t. Recently Musselman’s sent us a few of their new Squeezables Sours line to try out.

Whenever I think of applesauce I pretty much always think the original or well cinnamon. I love that Musselman’s came out with three new flavors that spices things up a little. The options are Sour Raspberry, Sour Cherry and Sour Lemon.

We put the pouches to the test as we recently spent the weekend in San Diego, with one of our adventures was Sea World. Having snacks for the way there and while in the park were must have. I was able to throw them in our little back pack and not worry about taking up too much space and also not worry about containers spilling.

At the park we had 2 other kids with us besides my own. When they got hungry I gave each a pouch. All 4 of the kids LOVED them. I was a little surprised that my girls’ favorite flavor was the Sour Lemon. I thought for sure they would go for the Sour Cherry. For the 2 other children, their favorites were split between the Sour Raspberry and Sour Cherry

Musselman’s takes their ingredients seriously. No artificial flavors, and no high fructose corn syrup either.  I was looking at the ingredient list

For the Sour Lemon and it’s very simple:

  • Apples (yes! The very first ingredient)- plus they are 100% American grown apples
  • Lemon Juice (Water, lemon juice concentrate)
  • Citric acid and natural flavor
  • Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) to maintain color
That’s it, those are the ingredients. Super simple, isn’t it? I love that there isn’t an ingredient list that seems to go on forever. So, I give them a huge high five for that (or maybe a fist bump).

I do wish that the boxes came with more than 4 pouches in them, but that’s only because we really like them and go through 4 really quickly. So, for now, I just buy a few boxes at a time, plus this gives me a chance to buy more than one flavor, so it’s not that bad of a deal.

I have seen Musselman’s Squeezables Sours at a few grocery stores in my area, so I’m sure they will be in your stores as well. I highly recommend you check them out the next time you are shopping. To help you a little in buying your first box, I have a coupon for $1 off, so make sure you grab that before you head to the store!

If you do buy them, please come back and let me know what you thought of them. I would love to hear your opinion.
