Give the Epson Perfection V39 Scanner for Mother's Day

I was thinking of a Mother’s Day idea for my mom and I couldn’t think of anything as she has so much, but she like most Grandmas she loves photos. She’s old school and prefers to look at a picture book in hand rather than a digital picture on a screen. That’s when I got the idea to scan some pictures that I had laying around and make a book. I recently moved and didn’t want to drag my big printer out. That’s where the Epson Perfection V39 Scanner came in handy, as it’s portable.

I love how light it is, I actually thought it would be a little heavier than it is. The other huge feature is that is powered by a USB cord. You don’t need an outlet. This makes it so portable and one less thing you have to worry about plugging in.

To begin using it, you need to install the driver either by using the CD that comes with or download from their site, which only takes a few mins. After that, just open and place your photo or paper and scan away. It’s super easy and takes seconds.

Like I said earlier, I first used it to scan photos for the photo book that I’m giving my mom for mother’s day from my kids. It’s also perfect for any school projects that the kids bring home that you want to keep but at the same time want to throw the paper away (I really should have through of this at the beginning of the school year).

Features:

  • High-quality scanning for photos and documents — 4800 dpi optical resolution for amazing clarity and detail
  • Preserve priceless memories — restore, archive and share family photos for generations to come
  • Scan to Facebook, Google Drive and other cloud services — Epson Document Capture Pro and Easy Photo Scan software included
  • Convenient — easy-to-use buttons for simple scan jobs plus a space-saving built-in kickstand for vertical placement
  • Scan oversized prints, documents and artwork — ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch® Deluxe 2 included
  • Restore color to faded photos — with one click, Easy Photo Fix® technology makes it simple
  • Scan books and photo albums — high-rise, removable lid
  • Remove dust from scanned photos — Advanced Digital Dust Correction
  • Convert scanned documents into editable text — Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software included (Windows® only)
  • USB powered — no AC adapter required

For a product under a $80, this is a perfect gift for Mother’s Day, or for yourself. I know If my kids gave this to me I’d love it as it has a practical use and it’s awesome. The feature that I can scan right to Facebook and Google Drive is awesome. I mean, I’m already scanning something already, so might as well upload it to another form right away as I probably would anyway.

You can order right from their site or from stores like Target, Best Buy, Fry’s and so many others. Please let me know if you have used The Epson Perfection V39 Scanner or if you would love to.

  1. This certainly looks like an easy and convenient way to scan photos. This is one electronic gadget that I would give a try since it does seem to overwhelming to set up and use.
