Warner Bros. Home
Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD. I reviewed in this Blog
Post. The opinions I share are my own.
For TV lovers a full box set of one of their favorite TV shows can be a great gift idea for them. I have 2 box set ideas here for you. One being The Big Bang Theory and Gotham. Both are excellent choices for different reasons.
All good things
must come to an end. I’ll be honest, I was really sad when The Big Bang Theory
ended. I loved that show it had an amazing run; we are talking about 12 seasons.
I think one of the most memorable moments was when Penny would be singing the “Soft kitty” song to Sheldon when he was trying to get to sleep.
Now that the
show is over Warner Bros Home Entertainment has put together a huge box set. It
comes in a couple different varieties. You can get the DVD form which is about
$179 or The Premium Limited Edition Blu-Ray which is about $249. The limited
edition comes with extra discs of never seen featurettes and also a book.
With Blu-Ray’s
unsurpassed picture and sound, The Big Bang Theory: The Twelfth and Final
Season, as well as The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Series, Blu-Ray
releases will include 1080p Full HD Video with DTS-HD Master Audio for English
5.1. These Blu-Rays also come with a digital copy of all the episodes included
in each release.

Any fans of the
O.C out there? I’m 35 so I love Ben McKenzie. When I heard he was going to be
on Gotham, my ears perked up. Many may not know this, but he also directed his
first episode while on the show.
The entire cast
is amazing. Star studded really. For example; Donal Logue (Grounded for Life, Vikings), David Mazouz (Touch), Sean Pertwee (Elementary),
Robin Lord Taylor (The Walking Dead),
Erin Richards (The Quiet Ones),
Camren Bicondova (Gotham Stories), Cory
Michael Smith (Carol) and Chris Chalk
(12 Years a Slave). Shane West (A Walk to Remember)
Gotham was canceled after it’s 5th season and is now available
in a box set in blu-ray, DVD & digital just in time for Christmas. The set
will run about $112/ $99. For 5 seasons, that is
well worth the money in my opinion. Here is what else you get for the special
features:

Either way you can’t go wrong with them, they are both great shows. I
wish both were still on the air, but at least with digital and blu-ray and DVD
we can still watch when we want. Go check them, maybe this could be the perfect
gift idea that you can check off your list. You can buy right from Warner Bros website or other retailers near you. Let me know what you think.
