TastyKake and Pilot Pen Help you on Valentine's Day

Are you looking for a cute idea for Valentine’s Day? Well, look no further, my friends over at TastyKake and Pilot Pen have helped me out and sent over some goodies for me to look at that are perfect for Vday.

First, I want to say, when it came to making my Valentine’s Day card I know it’s not the greatest. I’m not an artist. I made this one for one of my daughters who actually can draw and when she sees it, well, she may laugh. Know that it came from the heart, and I did try. With that said, the pens I used are amazing, and I’m sad that I have to give them to her because I really like them.

These pens are more for letterhead, cards, calligraphy etc. something more than just writing a note. They actually mean circle in Japanese. I did use a regular piece of paper, but I really should have used a thicker piece of paper to really showcase the beauty of the pens. They aren’t called Watercolor brush pens for nothing. You get 7 different colors in the pack and all are beautiful.  I noticed how easy it was to write with them and I’m sure you will too.

If you or the person you are giving this to loves to write, this may be a great gift. Kakuno in Japanese means to write. This set comes with everything you need, and even comes with an instruction book. The kit includes:

·       2 Kakuno Fountain Pens
·       Pink Cap with a Gray Barrel (Fine Nib)
·       Gray Cap with a Gray Barrel (Medium Nib)
·       10 Assorted Refill Cartridges, 5 Pink 5 Gray
·       Instruction Book

When I was younger, I wanted to learn how to write in calligraphy, well now here is my chance to learn. There are 2 different set options, This one which is the Cherry blossom or Red Maple. I seriously can’t wait to try this out more and get to show people what I’ve created. The writing is super smooth and anyone who receives this I’m sure will absolutely love it.

I’ve talked about this pen before and it’s truly one of a kind. It makes for a great gift especially if you want to do it with a journal or just stand alone. I love the elegance of this pen, and how it feels when you hold it. Not only that, but it really does glide when you write with it. You have the choice of a few different colors for the outside, although if you are giving it to your love, may I suggest red for Valentine’s Day. Another great value is you can refill the ink, so this pen can be used for years, making it a gift they will remember.

You can’t have Valentine’s Day without some treats, right? TastyKake sent us some of their amazing Valentine’s Day line so we could try them and of course my crew was more than happy to help. These also make for a great addition to a Valentine’s Day present. I mean, who doesn’t love some donuts or cupcakes?

Mini Donuts

One can’t say enough about mini donuts. They are amazing, and TastyKake knows how to make them just right. They have a few didn’t flavors for Valentine’s Day, just in case  you want a little variety. You can get crunch, powdered sugar or my favorite, chocolate. These are perfect to put in a VDay bag/basket (hint hint).

If you love a good cupcake then I would really recommend you check out these as they are fantastic, and you get two in a pack. I mean you could share one if you wanted to, or have them both for you; you choose.

Tender loving Kakes

These treats are for the coconut lovers. They have coconut in the middle and are coated with chocolate on the outside. They are super good and just like the Sweetie Kakes, you get two in a pack.

Take a look at TastyKakes site to find a store near you that sells them so you can shop for your Valentine and surprise them with a few treats. I’m sure they would love that. I know my kids will be happy when they have some in their bags this Valentine’s Day.
