Bushwick Kitchen has the Honey and Maple Syrup Dad will Love

I don’t know about you but in my house, we love honey and maple syrup, especially the man of the house. If you are looking for a great Father’s Day present, I may have one for you and it’s one he can share with the rest of the house too. Win win, in my book. Bushwick Kitchen makes ones that are AMAZING. I recently got my hands on a gift set of the Honey and Maple Syrup and wanted to share with you how they are. I also made some homemade BBQ sauce with the honey, check out the recipe below.

Bees Knees BBQ Sauce

  •        1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
  •        1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  •        1/3 cup Bushwick Kitchen honey (any flavor)
  •        1/4 cup tomato paste
  •        1/4 cup molasses
  •        1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  •        1 teaspoon garlic powder
  •        3 tablespoonWorcestershire
  •        2 teaspoonliquid smoke
  •        1/2 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
  •        1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  •        1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  •        a few pinches of cayenne (optional)

Directions

  1. Whisk all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat.  Wait until it reaches a simmer and reduce to medium- low and leave simmering for 10-15 mins until it has slightly thickened.
  2. Pour into mason jar. You can use right away or store into the fridge for a week.
  3. You can use right away for food like baked beans. Put a can of baked beans on a medium pan with juices. Add about a half cup or more of BBQ sauce and heat. I like to add just a little more of liquid smoke and Worcestershire to taste.

Serve once heated.

You can also use the sauce for a pizza base, wings or simply dipping.

Bushwick Kitchen has a honey trio gift set that is perfect for that honey lover that can’t decide which one. I mean there is no wrong choice here, they are all amazing in their own way. In the set you have the following:

Bees Knees spicy Honey
Bees Knees Meyer Lemon Honey (what I used for the BBQ sauce)
Bees Knees Salted Honey
Dish towel
Recipe card

When you have ingredients like Wildflower honey and brine which consists of salt flour and water, you know the product is pure. The trio is also under $40 which makes it a great gift price.

Of course you don’t have to make it into anything if you don’t want to, you can use it in int’s purest form and just pour it on top of some amazing food. Make an English muffin, put a little peanut butter on it and pour some honey on it and it’s a great snack.

I live in an area that I can get some amazing maple syrup, that is fresh. So, I know my syrup. This stuff is amazing. I saw coffee and my ears perked up, I mean I love coffee in just about anything. I don’t have a recipe for you this time for the syrups but Bushwick Kitchen has some on their site you can check out.

I do however love putting it on my French toast in the morning with peanut butter (there is a theme with me and peanut butter if you can’t tell).

You can buy each by themselves, or just like the honey, you can buy in a set (please buy in the set, so much better that way). The set comes in the following:

Trees Knees Gingerbread Maple
Trees Knees Spicy Maple
Dish towel
Recipe card

Just like the honey, it’s stripped down to the basics. Why add all this other stuff into it when you don’t have to. The ingredients in the coffee one are Organic Grade A Maple Syrup, Stumptown Coffee Roasters Hair Bender Blend.

If you have food intolerances, this is gluten-free, Paleo-friendly, and vegan.

So please take a look at their site and see if you want to order for Father’s Day, Also on Monday the 15th, they are offering a 15% discount on the entire site, so it’s definitely worth looking at.

My husband and my sons would go crazy over these. I need to get it for them. I love watching them eat! I guess that means I am a good cook? Nah. Its is only because I choose only the best ingredients, just like these Honey and Maple syrups.
