Give the gift of Doterra Essential Oils this year

I have a deep love for essential oils. It was actually my mom who got me into them with the start of the Melaleuca oil. After I saw the use of that one my curiosity grew and I fell in love. The rest is history. One of my all time favorite brands is Doterra because their quality is just out of this world. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite products, plus a couple of great Christmas gift ideas you can give this year.

We all know the “normal” ways to use essential, which are amazing and I will get to in a few, but I first wanted to share a little more out of the box way that you may not have thought of and makes for a great DIY gift. Have you ever done a sugar scrub? It’s great for your skin, and it smells amazing. Check out this recipe I swear by. Plus you can put in a cute mason jar and give for a gift. You can even throw in a bottle of the oil so they can make their own.

 

 

DIY essential oil sugar scrub

 

2 cups white sugar

1/4 cup coconut oil

10 dops Doterra Lemon oil

5 drops Doterra Citrus Bliss

 

Combine the sugar and oil until well mixed and then add the oils and mix again. Place into mason jar.

 

Diffusers

 

If use a diffuser you know how amazing they are. You can use them just for a scent, cleanse the air to purify it when you are sick and for aromatherapy. Normally with diffusers, you need to plug them in but with the Pilot Portable Diffuser you can take it anywhere. You can have it with you at home, in the office (if you still work in the office), or even in your car). I love that the case has a spot that you can hold a few of your oil bottles. Women’s Health

Oils

 

If you aren’t sure about blends and oils it’s ok. It can be intimidating. I know was a bit intimidated at first as well. Ease into it. I would recommend getting a few of the basics first like Peppermint or Lavender. If you put some in your palm and some lotion and rub it on your skin, it has an amazing calming effect. Lemon is a great one for natural cleaning. Just mix a few drops with some water and regular vinegar in a spray bottle.

 

Another thing I love to do when I’m out is to wear a diffuser necklace or bracelet. I put a few drops of my favorite blends like Serenity or Balance and when I need it I just take a deep breath. A diffuser necklace and a bottle of Balance or Serenity make for a great gift as well.
