Having something for our kiddos that is screen free AND they love, well that’s just ideal, isn’t it? Whenever I’m babysitting my grandson and don’t want the TV on I turn on the podcast Adventures of Cairo and Enzo is thrilled.
If you haven’t heard of Adventures of Cairo let me tell you, you are missing out. Well your kiddos are missing out. Each episode is super short, like under 20 mins short. I know the attention span of a little one is not long, so these are perfect. To listen to it, all you need to do is look for Wondery on your fav podcast platform (mine is from apple), and you will see the series.
Before I forget to mention, the episodes are ad free. Us adults can find ads annoying, but kids, no kiddo wants their story to stop so they can listen to a commercial. Am I right?
As soon as I turn on the podcast, Enzo looks at the phone and has a huge smile on his face. It’s definitely a winner in my house.
Cairo lives in a big city with his mom, dad and brother Omari. In the series you get to learn about Cairo’s family and friends and they teach a valuable lesson each episode. Kids can learn by absorbing information at any age. It’s so important to start young. For the older kids you can ask questions after each episode and use it as a great teaching moment. I love that Cairo has such a strong family and network of friends to help him when he’s in need. We all need that and it teaches children that they can lean on someone whenever they need help.
If you think this would benefit your child, I would definitely download this. You can always have it on in the car too. I know how much they love their electronics as soon as the cars start. This is a great alternative and like I said above, a way to teach them at the same time. Talk about a win win.
If you have listened to Adventures of Cairo tell me what you think. I would love to hear your favorite parts of the series.
