Moon Dough. The name sounds interesting and something right up my sons ally. I was definitely right about that! Little man was lucky enough to receive this fantastic product courtesy of Moon Dough and Child’s Play Communications for our review. We received the Moon Dough Barnyard. This product retails at $19.99 and can be purchased at Target, Walmart, Amazon.com, Toys “R” Us and other popular retailers. It is recommended for children ages 2-4 and comes with this great little barnyard, and three colors of Moon Dough. You are able to use the Barnyard to make animals from the molds on the top…and it also comes with separate fence and hay bale molds. This dough never dries out and is hypoallergenic and wheat-free.
The verdict: Little man LOVES this. Seriously. He spends so much time with it. Hours. No kiddin’! For a three year old that is a long time. He loves making the animals and setting up a little farm. You can just tell from this picture how excited he is about it. His birthday was last week, and this cool new toy has stolen the spotlight on all of his birthday presents.
The Downfall: All good things have to have a downfall right? This one is the mess. Because of the special way it is made, and the fact that it never dries out…it is a little flakey. Flakey with a dough toy can only mean one thing….a big ole mess for Mama. It is a mess that is well worth it though…because of how much little man loves it, but Moms be forewarned….have a vacuum handy!!
