Yoplait Go-gurt Prize Pack!
by:
Paige
My little man has my sweet tooth. I swear, if a diet was ever made that included ONLY sweats…I would be thin as a rail. Recently, it has been my mission to get healthier and I have been changing a lot of our habits around here. Fruit snacks have been replaced with grapes and pudding has been replaced with yogurt, and little man seems to love the change. My favorite yogurt is Yoplait. Always has been! I love the variety of flavors and particularly love the cheese cake flavor. Little man just loves the Dora and Diego yogurts (of course-now only if they would make a Thomas the Train package-he would eat even more!) Yogurt is of course, a terrific source of calcium and Vitamin D….and it is a much healthier alternative to many snacks that little man wants to eat, so I love it! I had no CLUE that the Go-gurt was made to be frozen and then put in a lunchbox. Did you know that? Stick it into the freezer the night before, and then it is good to sit in the lunch box until lunchtime….that way, your kiddos can have something healthy at lunch besides a sandwich and cookies. Excellent idea Yoplait! We recently found out that little man got accepted into the preschool I have been drooling over (that is another post) and we have to bring in snacks every 12 weeks for the whole class. Go-gurt is most definitely going to be one of those snacks for us!! It is tasty, healthy and convenient. Not much more a Mom could ask for!!
I got this super cool prize pack to try out from Yoplait and My Blog Spark! It includes a coupon for a free sample of Go-Gurt as well as a "Keeping Cool in School" prize pack that includes an insulated lunch tote, mini water bottle, sandwich keeper, cool breeze pen fan, and some fun school supplies for the new school year. My little man thought the pen was sooo cool, and told me it was the best “present ever” haha….for the love of three year olds!
Win It! Yoplait and My Blog Spark would like to offer you the same prize pack. Please note that the coupon for the free Go-Gurt is not valid in California, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, Nevada, North Dakota and Tennessee. Sorry guys! To be entered just tell me your best back to school lunch tip, or if you do not have a school aged child…tell me how you get your child to eat healthier!

My best back to school lunch tip is to cut the kids sandwiches into fun shapes using cookie cutters..It makes them more likely to eat it(and make it healthy by using whole grain bread and maybe turkey breast)

We don't have a child in school just yet, he still stays home with me. My tip is to include a good variety into their food choices for the day. Maybe a fruit cup with lunch and some veggies with each dinner (and yogurt for dessert). Eventually they will try and maybe even like, some of the fruits and veggies they need each day. We have gotten my son into eating his veggies even! The first attempts weren't successful, but he is starting to like them. { webleane at yahoo dot com }

ReplyDeleteMy son hasn't started school yet (6 days to go). We have also replaced fruit snacks with grapes, we don't do chips instead we do pretzels, goldfish crackers or rice cakes. We do not buy soda, instead we do only 100% juice and we limit it. My kids love drinking water, so I am pretty lucky. Thanks so much for the chance, my son loves go-gurt and this would be awesome for school.

ReplyDeleteWe must be very lucky - our daughter loves vegetables. And we never have a problem getting her to eat healthy. In fact, I don't think we have found any food that she doesn't like.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite back to school lunch tip is involve the child in the lunch making process and that way all gets eaten as it is a combination of something you'd like to see and something they would like to see.

My best tip is to freeze the juice box. It is thawed by lunch and keeps the rest of the food cool. jas8929(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeletehttp://twitter.com/sohamolina/status/23933399569
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm in jersey I'd love to win the rest of the items in the prize pack. My best tip is compromise. Get them to eat the veggies by packing some dressing for them to dip it in. To cut the calories but not the flavor us regular ranch but put in an equal amount of salsa. It is still super yummy but less fat and calories. Want them to eat the fruit? Get them some low fat caramel dipping sauce or there are even some low fat chocolate dipping sauces.

Putting mayo in sandwiches makes it less dry but there's always the risk of it going bad, so use hummus instead! It's a delicious alternative! tylerpants(at)gmail.com

My best back to school tip is to really listen to what your kids what to eat...One year I spent a lot of money on the 'good' lunch meat and bread to make my daughter deluxe sandwiches until one day I found out she traded them every day! Man, I could have saved some money and a lot of effort if I only knew she didn't want them :(
