Hyland’s is well known for their homeopathic
medicines that you can pretty much find at any big box store or pharmacy. I
asked Hyland’s to try some of their 4kids line now that my daughter will be 2
in a month. I was very happy when they said yes. I myself am on a lot of
prescription medications and try to have my girls on as few as I possible. When
we received the samples, I did as our pediatrician if it was ok to use since
she isn’t quite 2 yet, and I wanted to make sure, he was just fine with it.
When Fallon doesn’t sleep well at night and then
doesn’t get a good nap, the whole day is thrown off. Not only is it thrown off
for her but for me as well. We all know the saying “when mama isn’t happy then
nobody’s happy”.
There have been nights in the recent past that
Fallon has woken up crying and saying no. It’s not just a I kind of woke up so I’m
going to fuss cry, but an I’m scared cry. I have no idea what could be causing
it, but try to help her. The other night
nothing was working. I have lotion, that didn’t help, I have essential oils,
that didn’t help. I was desperate and my daughter was still upset and not
sleeping. I remembered I had the 4KdsCalm ‘n Restful.
I figured I would give it a try since it couldn’t
really hurt. The directions say to use 2 tablets every 15 mins or up to 8
doses. The pills are tiny so they dissolve very quickly. I was really hoping I didn’t
need that many. Lucky after the 2nd dose she was out like a light.
Now I don’t know if it was a combination of oils, lotion and Hyland’s, it being
the middle of the night or Hyland’s by itself. Whatever it was, it helped. I
tried it the next night and only used Hyland’s right at bed time and she slept
through the night. I will definitely be keeping this on hand, but hoping I don’t
have many nights where I need to use it.

I don’t want a cabinet full of medicines even when
they are more natural and homeopathic, but at the same time, I don’t want to
wait until my kids need something and have to run to the store. Hylands has a
whole line for kids 2-12 and the prices are very affordable. The Calm ‘n
Restful has 125 tablets in the bottle, so it will last a while. Like I said
above, you can find them just about anywhere, Walmart, Target, Walgreen's, CVS… I recommend that you check them out to see if
they are right for your child and also talk with your pediatrician to see as
well.

Great post! I should really look into this product never heard of it, but looks great.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of it but it sounds good
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of these products. I know melatonin can also help sleep, but I'm not sure if that is safe for kids.
ReplyDeleteI would never give my kid a sedative even if it is homeopathy (looks like that by the dose). You can even be addicted some herbals too, or you think that without pills it wouldn't even okay to exist. Sometimes changing the bedtime routine could help, even is the kid is so little like 2 years.
ReplyDeleteFor the first year of my sons life, he woke up with night tremors.. this would have been great if we knew about it.. they scared us cause he would not relax.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of these but I'm glad you pointed them out for us!
