Help make Christmas fun with Crayola

My girls are no different than most, they love to color, and they love the Crayola brand. Recently Crayola sent me a gift card so I could go and buy the girls some great new products. I had a ton of going to the store and shopping in the islet of target that seemed to be pretty much dedicated to Crayola. There was so much to choose from.

With Fallon in mind, the first thing I chose was one of Crayola’s Color Wonder Activity Pad’s. Fallon goes to daycare, church, and grandma's house all the time so having something that keeps markers and color paper together is definitely a must for us. Besides having a place for the markers and color paper, i like Color Wonder because there is no mess to it.

I have had times when my oldest was little and she was coloring, and the next thing I know there is marker all over the place. With Color Wonder, you don’t have that. The markers will only color on the special paper. Makes this a plus all around for everyone. There are a lot of options for pretty much any child’s likes and very reasonable for under $10.

Recently, my household has been come a little obsessed with Hello Kitty items ( I admit, partly my fault). So when I saw the giant Hello Kitty coloring book, I just had to get it. Now when they say giant, they are kidding. They are very large coloring pages. I am having a blast coloring coloring with my youngest. I’m trying to teach her that she can do more than two lines per page. The prices varies but I haven’t seen them for more than $10 for the 18 pages. I would say that it’s a good stocking stuffer but that would be ones really big stocking.

A few years ago Mya had Crayola Twistables and loved them. I don’t know what happened to them but when I saw them at the store, I knew I should buy another pack. I ended up getting the ones in a case, so that they can all be in one place. Normal colored pencils have to be sharpened and break a ton (especially with a 2 year old running around wanting to play with sissy’s stuff). The Twistables are amazing because when you are done you just twist and the pencil part is gone. Kind of similar to a mechanical pencil. For less than $10 you can get the case, 65 colors AND 40 pieces of paper to start with. To me that’s a deal.

There are so many choices with Crayola there is no way to go wrong. They have smaller items that would be perfect for stocking stuffers or the larger items like make your own paint colors and such. Check them out next time you are at the store.

  2. Rose Art sucks. I mean, seriously, have you ever tried to draw with one of those waxy, colorless sticks? Crayola is the only way to go.
