Do you get a
real tree or an artificial one? For my family it’s an obvious choice. This is
because I am allergic to pine. I know, a bad allergy to have especially while
living in WI. My girls and I moved back to WI in the beginning of the year and
left a lot behind, so we needed a new tree for this Christmas. Hammacher
Schlemmer offered to send one for review. We decided on a prelit Noble Fir.
For myself I
prefer simple lights, so when looking at the light options I liked the white.
With that said, the multicolor ones are really pretty as well. There is no wrong
option, it just comes down to preference.
The prelit Noble
Fir starts at 4.5 feet and goes up to 12 feet height. So there are a lot of options
of what size you want, your space of course and your budget.
Coming right
out of the box, I could tell that this was going to be a simple set up. Iv’e
had trees where there seem to be a hundred parts and you have to put each
branch in etc. The Hammacher Schlemmer tree came in 3 pieces, yes three. One of
the three was the base. Set up the base, attach B to it, then attach A to B and
you’re done. Of course, then you fluff the tree, but that’s with any artificial
tree. Once you fluff, plug it in and see the lights.
I don’t recall
seeing a remote for a tree that came with it. I know I’ve had them in the past
but had to attach them myself buying 3rd party. Hammacher Schlemmer
includes a really cute little tree remote. Nothing groundbreaking of course,
but cute and handy so you don’t have to bend down to find the cord and turn off
or unplug.
My kids had a
blast decorating it. We still have a few ornaments to add, just have to find
that box, but other than that we are good. We keep it simple with the ornaments.
That way you can really see which ones they pick out over the years vrs the
regular ones. This year Fallon picked out a ballerina pig, Mya picked out Chase
from Paw Patrol, and I picked out a high heel shoe.
All that is
left now is finishing Christmas shopping, wrapping them and watching their eyes
light up on Christmas morning.
So, if you
think artificial is the way to go, I recommend checking Hammacher Schlemmer out
and seeing all their tree options, not just this Noble Fir.
After quickly glancing at the title and the colors of the tree, I thought this had something to do with Hannukah! ;) We celebrate both Hannukah and Christmas, and we decorate our house in blue & silver. I love this tree. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a nice artificial tree! We have a fake tree as well because it tends to just be easier with small kids in the house!
ReplyDeleteI've never had a real tree. We use the same tree every year. I actually hope to get a real tree at least once so that my kids can experience it. However, my current tree is convenient and still very pretty even though its not a real tree.
ReplyDeleteThe tree looks truly beautiful. We don't bring a Christmas tree home, though we have one in office. Your tree makes me want to bring one home.
